Air Canada flight cancelled due to rat scare

PopGoesTheNews.com >> An Air Canada flight to London was grounded in Ottawa on Thursday night after a huge rat was spotted in an overhead compartment.

Flight AC888, a Boeing 767 with 205 passengers aboard, was waiting for take-off when the pilot ordered an evacuation. A passenger reported seeing the rodent, forcing the cancellation of the 10:15 pm flight. No rat was ever found. Passengers were put up for the night in a hotel near the airport.

An Air Canada spokeswoman confirmed the incident. "An aircraft was taken out of service after a rodent was found on board before a flight."
