PopGoesTheNews.com >> Actress Winona Ryder made the crew of the TV movie When Love Is Not Enough: The Lois Wilson Story go to extraordinary lengths to shield her from the paparazzi this afternoon.A small black tent was erected in the grand hall of Toronto's Union Station shortly after 1:00 pm to shelter the two-time Oscar nominee between takes. Surrounded by a circle of crew members, Ryder – wearing a hooded parka and holding a piece of paper in front of her face – walked to the tent under the cover of a large black umbrella.
The 38-year-old, who is playing the titular character in the CBS/Hallmark Hall of Fame production, held a piece of paper in front of her face whenever she wasn't inside the enclosure or doing her scenes. Her co-star Barry Pepper (pictured doing a scene with Ryder) was evidently unfazed by the attention of the paparazzi and the passers-by who snapped photos.
According to one of the background actors on set today, extras were told that Ryder wasn't hiding because she's a diva but because "she doesn't like the lights."
Last week, Ryder was shielded from the paparazzi outside her trailer on Jarvis Street by crew members holding chairs and umbrellas.
