Hugh Dillon haunted by his past on the set of 'Flashpoint'

PopGoesTheNews.com >> Canadian actor Hugh Dillon couldn't escape his past today on the set of his police drama Flashpoint. A lone woman clutching several CDs by his former band The Headstones waited in the bitter cold on Temperance Street hoping he would autograph them. Dillon, lead singer of the group, happily obliged.

In his heyday as front man for the Kingston-based rock band, Dillon was infamous for putting on a high-energy live show that included spitting on audience members and throwing lit cigarettes into the crowd. Dillon's battle with heroin addiction caused The Headstones to split up several times (they disbanded for good in 2003 after 16 years). "Now I'm the guy from Flashpoint," quipped Dillon.

Flashpoint airs Friday nights on CTV and CBS and in several countries around the world, including the UK, New Zealand, France, Poland, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden and South Africa.
