A busy day for star gazing in Toronto

PopGoesTheNews.com >> It wasn't hard to spot the stars in Toronto yesterday. Among those lighting up the streets was a four-time Oscar nominee and the woman with the No. 1 single in the UK.

Julianne Moore (pictured, bottom left) was in Yorkville shooting scenes for Atom Egoyan's new film Chloe. Moore plays a doctor who hires a prostitute to test her husband (Liam Neeson) when she suspects him of cheating. Playing the escort is Amanda Seyfried (pictured, top left), who starred in last summer's hit Mamma Mia!.

During a break in filming, Seyfried slipped into Hazelton Lanes to do some shopping. She picked up several Valentine's items at Teatro Verde but told PopGoesTheNews.com they weren't for her boyfriend, actor Dominic Cooper.

Downtown, UK singer Lily Allen (pictured, top right) arrived at the CBC studios shortly after 2:00 pm to tape a segment on The Hour. Emerging from a black SUV, Allen lit up a cigarette for some quick puffs before going inside. Despite having good reason to be happy (she tops the singles chart back home) Allen scowled at photographers and refused to answer questions. Later, she went to the CTV building to tape a special episode of eTalk and to appear live on Muchmusic's MOD. As she was being driven to the airport to catch a flight to New York City, Allen removed her false eyelashes and did a number of phone interviews.

Spotted on Queen Street West yesterday was Smallville star Aaron Ashmore (pictured, bottom right). Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay made an appearance on Virgin Radio early in the morning and then spent more than an hour at the Indigo store in the Eaton Centre signing copies of his new book.
