TORONTO (PGN) >> Was 90210 star Shenae Grimes smoking marijuana while cruising up Yonge Street this afternoon?The 19-year-old actress was spotted in the front passenger seat of a blue Acura today, smoking what looked and smelled like a "joint." As the vehicle (driven by a male friend) got closer to three police officers on bicycles just south of Yonge-Dundas Square, Grimes quickly raised her window and passed the suspicious cigarette to the driver, who took a few puffs and then tossed it out his window as he turned his car left on to Edward Street.
Later confronted by popgoesthenews.com about the alleged pot use, Grimes replied tersely: "What are you talking about?"
In an Aug. 27, 2008 posting at Hot or Not Gossip, blogger Zack Taylor alleged that Grimes has a history of drug use.
Grimes and her male friend (pictured with her in a video image) left her family's home earlier in the afternoon and she bopped and sang along to pop songs blaring from the car's speakers (including Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" and Beyonce's "Single Ladies") as they drove downtown. The pair stopped briefly at the north-west corner of King and Simcoe to collect something from a male in a baseball cap who was waiting for them outside the Royal Alexandra Theatre.
Grimes and her friend then stopped at Starbucks at Queen and John Streets before driving to two different locations to pick up two female friends. After driving up Yonge Street, they returned to Queen and John Streets and ate lunch in a booth at the back of Cafe Crepe. After the meal, the group walked to the Aritzia and Zara retail stores on Queen Street West.
As Grimes and her friends left Zara, they were stopped by a security guard who accused one of the 90210 star's female friends of taking a scarf from the store without paying for it. Grimes kept walking, leaving her friend behind to deal with the situation (which appeared to be a misunderstanding).
The day didn't get any better, though. Grimes and her pals returned to their vehicle to find a parking ticket on the windshield.
